Building Agents: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
November 5 · 10:10-10:25 · Main stage →
Shanghai time (UTC+8) · Changes will be communicated.
The way agents get built has changed fast.
Yesterday: chains and RAG, debugged by eyeballing prompts. Today: tool-calling agents in long loops, kept reliable by traces, datasets built from production failures, and evals that gate releases. Tomorrow (the best teams are already on this): telemetry becomes an interface for the agent. Coding agents pull scored traces from your application, cluster failures, propose fixes and evals, and back-test them. Today a human is still in the loop - in the future perhaps not?
I'll cover which signals to expose to agents, where humans should stay in control for now, and what changes when agents become the heaviest readers of your traces.
