Ten years ago, I shut down my personal agent company. It hit three bottlenecks: language, reasoning, and fulfillment. LLMs have largely solved the first two. Fulfillment remains, and it is not a technical problem but an economic one. That is why A2A and a dozen other protocols have not yet produced an agent economy. What's missing is a structure: many sovereign agents, connected by a communication layer that is agnostic to who owns an agent, which model or harness it runs on, and what actions it can take. Value moves at scale only when agents can propagate actions across each other's boundaries.
