Email and identity infrastructure for AI agents

AgentMail

AgentMail builds email infrastructure for AI agents, giving developers a way to create dedicated inboxes programmatically. Agents can send and receive messages, retain conversation threads and access attachments, so an ongoing exchange has context beyond a single notification. Its users include teams building support agents, procurement bots and supply-chain agents that coordinate with carriers over email. The product makes email a working interface for software that needs to communicate with people and services already using it.

Founded in 2025 by Haakam Aujla, Michael Kim and Adi Singh, AgentMail grew out of the team's experience building email agents: manually provisioned inboxes and restrictive email infrastructure became obstacles to the agents themselves. Its defining choice was to make the inbox an API resource. Developers can provision separate addresses across a fleet, while inbox-scoped API keys restrict each agent's access to its own conversations and drafts. Persistent history also lets an agent hand a conversation to a human without losing its context.

AgentMail extends that work into sign-in with AgentID, an OpenID Connect provider for agents. Registered applications can request an owner_email claim linking an agent to its owner; if sharing has not been authorized, the organization owner must approve before sign-in completes. This gives applications a concrete basis for owner-level limits and accountability while allowing agents to use their own credentials rather than borrow a person's account.
