Amplifon

Amplifon sells and fits hearing aids for people with hearing loss, combining personalized care with digital support. Its product families include discreet ampli-mini devices and ampli-power hearing aids designed for long battery life. The Amplifon App lets users adjust volume, select listening programs, book specialist appointments and access support tutorials, extending care beyond clinic visits.

Algernon Charles Holland founded Amplifon in Milan in 1950 to distribute and fit hearing aids; Enrico Vita is its CEO and general manager. The company established its Centre for Research and Studies in 1971 to support scientific and clinical research into hearing loss. Its app’s Companion feature applies AI to device-usage data, using a predictive model to suggest battery replacement and listening programs suited to the surroundings.

Amplifon reported approximately €2.4 billion in annual revenue for 2025. Its proposed acquisition of GN Hearing, agreed in March 2026, would add ReSound, Beltone, hearing-product intellectual property, research and manufacturing. The agreement valued the business at DKK 17 billion on a cash-free, debt-free basis, with payment in cash and Amplifon shares. Completion remains subject to regulatory approvals and separation from GN, with closing expected by the end of 2026. Separately, Amplifon completed the sale of its business in India to Hearzap in August 2026.
