Apify

Apify provides web scraping and browser automation tools for developers, businesses, and AI builders. Its Apify Store offers reusable cloud programs called Actors for collecting web data, monitoring prices and social media, and generating leads. Website Content Crawler turns websites into text for language models and retrieval pipelines. Users can run Actors through APIs, schedule jobs, or build and sell their own, with Apify handling infrastructure and billing.

Jan Čurn and Jakub Balada founded Apify in 2015 through the Y Combinator Fellowship; Čurn remains CEO. The team moved back to the Czech Republic in 2016. Its original focus on JavaScript crawlers using headless browsers expanded into a broader automation platform. Apify also develops Crawlee, an open-source TypeScript library combining browser and HTTP crawling with automatic parallelization, persistent URL queues, sessions, and proxy handling.

Apify had a reported $50 million in annual recurring revenue in June 2026.
