BetterUp provides workforce development software combining human coaching, AI coaching, and performance analytics. Its product family includes BetterUp Lead for leadership development, Manage for managers, Grow for workforce-wide AI coaching, and Ready for resilience and adaptability during change. Employees can practice difficult conversations, solve workplace problems, and connect with human coaches. Organizations can tailor development to business priorities and track measures such as manager effectiveness, attrition, and productivity.

Founded in 2013, BetterUp is led by co-founders Alexi Robichaux, CEO, and Eduardo (Eddie) Medina, COO. Its Whole Person Model draws on management science and psychology to assess mindsets and behaviors that coaching can address, helping employees and coaches choose development goals and track progress. BetterUp Labs also collaborated with Stanford Social Media Lab on research into workslop: superficially polished AI-generated work that shifts thinking and cleanup onto colleagues.

As of August 2026, BetterUp reported 750+ enterprise customers and more than 4,000 coaches across over 70 countries. Its historical financial milestones include reaching $100 million in annual recurring revenue in July 2021 and closing a $300 million Series E at a $4.7 billion valuation that October.
