AI software architecture tools
Catio
Catio builds an Architecture IDE that helps CTOs, architects, and developers understand software systems, evaluate trade-offs, and generate implementation specifications. Its platform maintains a digital twin of applications, infrastructure, and dependencies to support modernization and architecture planning. Archie, its reasoning agent, helps teams develop and refine architectural blueprints. An MCP server connects these capabilities to existing coding assistants, letting users query architecture and retrieve specifications inside their editors.
Catio began in 2022 and announced its co-founding team in 2023, including co-founders Boris Bogatin, its current CEO, and Toufic Boubez. Its engineering work treats software architecture as a graph of relationships that agents can compute over. GraphQA, which powers Catio’s recommendation and chat modules, combines language-model reasoning with graph algorithms to trace dependencies and analyze the impact of changes. It gives agents executable structural analysis rather than relying solely on textual descriptions of a system.
Certificate Hero, a software provider serving insurance brokers, uses Catio for infrastructure insights and spending optimization. Catio secured $3 million in funding in 2025, with investors including RRE Ventures and Eniac Ventures. Earlier financing announcements described $1.4 million raised in 2023 and a further $2.6 million in 2024.

Architecture priorities tied to business objectives
Bogatin and Boubez describe live architecture mapping, business-aware recommendations, and measurable feedback loops as ways to guide technology investment and developer decisions.
Context and coordination for architectural reasoning
Makaremi contrasts semantic vector search with reasoning grounded in architectural graphs, requirements, and retrieval context. His hierarchical agent system brings structured communication and recommendation conflict resolution into the architecture workflow.
