Generative AI creative workflow software

Comfy Org

Comfy Org develops ComfyUI, an open-source workflow engine that lets technical artists, studios and agencies connect models and processing steps to generate images, video, audio and 3D assets. Users can adjust individual parameters, reuse community workflows and expose complex graphs through a simplified App Mode. Comfy Desktop runs on users’ own hardware, Comfy Cloud provides managed GPU execution, and Comfy API turns workflows into production endpoints.

ComfyUI began as a solo project in 2023; Comfy Org’s formation was announced in 2024. Its founders include creator Yannik Marek and CEO Yoland Yan. The engine makes creative pipelines inspectable and reusable: workflows can be saved as portable JSON files, while partial graph re-execution runs only changed steps and downstream steps that depend on them. Memory management and model offloading support local execution. These capabilities let artists combine generation, depth estimation and inpainting within a repeatable process.

The core is free to run locally, with optional paid services for cloud execution and third-party model access through credit-funded Partner Nodes. In April 2026, the company reported 4 million users and more than 60,000 contributor-built nodes. It also announced $30 million in financing led by Craft at a $500 million valuation. Studio uses include Black Math’s modular creative pipelines and Silverside AI’s brand campaigns.
