Cua

Cua builds infrastructure for developers and researchers training, evaluating, and running agents that operate desktop applications. Cua Sandbox provisions disposable environments locally or through Cua Cloud across Linux, Windows, macOS, and Android. Cua Fleets organizes sandboxes into pools of ready machines for parallel evaluations, reinforcement learning, and training-data generation. Cua Driver exposes desktop actions and window state through MCP and a CLI, supporting background interaction without taking over the user's cursor. Teams can run the sandbox framework locally or use hosted, bring-your-own-cloud, or on-premises infrastructure.

Francesco Bonacci founded Cua in San Francisco in 2025 after leaving Microsoft and serves as CEO; Dillon DuPont joined shortly afterward and serves as CTO. Both previously co-authored Windows Agent Arena at Microsoft, developing infrastructure for evaluating agents on Windows. Cua's own engineering includes Lume, which manages macOS virtual machines on Apple Silicon using Apple's Virtualization.framework, and Cua-Bench, which supports evaluation and benchmark authoring for desktop and mobile tasks.

Cua is backed by Y Combinator and joined its spring 2025 batch. Investor Orange Collective records 17,861 GitHub stars in June 2026. Cua also supplies verified trajectory datasets generated on its environments for customers' training pipelines.
