AI presentations and visual communication

Gamma

Gamma builds AI tools for creating presentations, documents, and websites from prompts or existing text, handling layout and formatting automatically. Educators, founders, sales teams, and consultants use it to prepare teaching materials, fundraising presentations, and client pitches. Gamma Agent adds conversational editing so users can restructure content, refine tone, and adjust visuals; its API supports automated creation workflows.

Founded in 2020 by Grant Lee, its CEO, James Fox, and Jon Noronha, Gamma added AI design tools in 2023. Its engineering connects model output to editable documents: a conversion layer transforms generated HTML into structured editor content with resolved images, charts, and diagrams. Its image pipeline supports multiple models through shared interfaces, separating model capabilities from infrastructure such as cost tracking and preprocessing.

Gamma combines free introductory AI credits with paid subscriptions that include usage allowances, plus custom enterprise contracts. In August 2026, the company reported that over 100 million people had cumulatively created more than 625 million pieces of content across 210 countries and territories. Gamma also acquired Lica in August 2026 to build a design research lab led by Lica’s co-founders, with plans to explore multimodal communication and presentation styles tailored to different audiences.
