Generative AI practitioner community

GenAI Israel

GenAI Israel connects generative AI practitioners through free WhatsApp communities, technical meetups, virtual roundtables, webinars and job boards. Also identified as LLM.org.il, it serves researchers, engineers, CTOs and data scientists, with particular attention to large language models. Members can discuss technical questions, find events and access groups dedicated to jobs and freelance work.

Founded by Almog Baku, who also serves as a Meetup organizer, the community focuses on the practical work of implementing, engineering and scaling generative AI. Dana Fine serves as a community leader. Its technical remit includes SDKs, cloud infrastructure and model training. Alongside its general discussion groups, it offers specialist channels for cybersecurity, personal assistants and AI coding, giving practitioners more focused places to exchange knowledge.

GenAI Israel describes itself as a nonprofit community. Its Meetup group listed 2,557 members in August 2026, a platform-specific count. The organization solicits sponsors and talk proposals; AWS provided venue hosting and sponsorship for a 2026 community event.
