Glow

Glow coordinates funding for solar infrastructure through a blockchain protocol and crowdfunding platform. Solar developers participate in its subsidy system, while community members use Glow Launchpad to help fund installations. Participants can delegate GLW tokens to influence which farms receive support and which regions benefit. Its Watts feature lets contributors track their share of the solar capacity they helped fund.

Founder and CEO David Vorick previously co-founded Sia and founded the custom hardware company Obelisk. Glow’s technical approach centers on a competitive recursive subsidy: solar installations compete for a fixed reward pool while contributing their electricity revenue. The mechanism is designed to direct support toward projects near the edge of profitability, where additional funding can enable construction, rather than subsidizing projects that would earn more by keeping their electricity revenue.

As of August 2026, Glow reported deploying more than $50 million across three continents. Its projects span community and institutional funding: more than 90 people supported the 1,000-panel Radiant Plane installation, while institutional capital fully funded Berry Flats in India, with more than 40,000 panels. Glow also earns revenue by selling the ability to direct where new solar installations are built and which purposes they serve.
