Granola

Granola makes an AI notepad for professionals handling interviews, sales calls and other meetings. It transcribes computer audio without sending a bot into the call, combining conversation context with users’ own notes to produce structured notes and action items. Calendar Briefs help users prepare for external meetings, while Granola Chat answers questions across meeting history. Shared Spaces let teams organize conversations and control access; personal and enterprise APIs and an MCP connector make those notes available to other tools.

Cofounders Christopher Pedregal, the CEO, and Sam Stephenson built Granola around human direction of AI-generated notes. Its public product launch in 2024 introduced an interaction in which typed notes steer what the AI emphasizes, with visual distinctions between human and generated text and transcript excerpts for checking details. Its subsequent agent engineering prioritizes searching broadly across structured notes before examining relevant conversations more deeply. Coverage Notes expose what Chat examined, helping users judge whether an answer needs further investigation.

In May 2026, Granola reported more than 70 employees. The company also identified adoption at organizations including Asana, Vanta, Cursor and Mistral AI. Its $125 million Series C, announced in March 2026 and led by Index Ventures, valued the company at $1.5 billion.
