incident.io builds a software reliability platform for engineering, product and support teams to investigate failures, coordinate responses and keep customers informed. On-call routes alerts and manages rotations; Response brings role assignments, automated workflows and AI call transcription into Slack and Microsoft Teams; Status Pages communicates incident updates to customers. Investigations works alongside responders from incident declaration through resolution, presenting hypotheses linked to evidence and updating its analysis as new information arrives.

Founded in 2021, incident.io grew out of its founders’ experience managing incidents at Monzo. Stephen Whitworth is CEO, Pete Hamilton is CTO and Chris Evans is Field CTO. Its technical approach combines incident coordination with organization-specific operational context. Nexus, which powers Investigations, models customers’ systems, teams and incident history, reasoning across telemetry, deployments and code. Investigations exposes supporting sources and rejected theories so responders can challenge its conclusions.

In 2026, the company reported adoption by over 1,000 companies, including Netflix, Airbnb and Block, and cumulative use by nearly 250,000 responders across well over 1 million incidents. It also reported more than 200 employees across the UK and US. A $62 million Series B in 2025, led by Insight Partners, supported investment in AI development and commercial expansion.
