IT Revolution

IT Revolution publishes books and articles and runs leadership programs for business and technology professionals working on software delivery, organizational change, and AI adoption. Its publications address practical tensions between innovation, operational stability, speed, and security. The paid Monthly AI Forum gives enterprise technology leaders online sessions combining experience reports, confidential questions and answers, and collaborative breakouts. Members can bring problems from their organizations, work through them with peers, and access summaries and shared resources.

Founded by Gene Kim, IT Revolution is led by CEO Margueritte Vu Kim; its publishing business dates to 2013. Kim’s work connects technology practices with business management. The Phoenix Project adapted ideas from the manufacturing novel The Goal and constraints management to portray problems shared by development, operations, security, and business teams. Its narrative approach makes those organizational problems accessible to readers outside technology, while The Unicorn Project examines obstacles to developer productivity, including unreliable builds, tests, and deployment processes.

The business combines publishing with paid peer learning for enterprise leaders. A 2025 arrangement named Simon & Schuster to handle worldwide sales and distribution for IT Revolution Press. On its 2026 event site, the company reported that nearly 12,000 leaders had participated in its events over the preceding ten years.
