AI for financial research and analysis

Kepler

Kepler builds AI infrastructure for traceable financial analysis. Kepler for Finance lets investment banking and research teams ask questions in natural language, compare companies, examine debt structures, and export analysis to Excel and PowerPoint with figures linked to source filings. Users can customize calculation rules and workflows. Its broader Kepler Platform, intended to support other industries using their own data, remains forthcoming.

Founded in 2025 by CEO Vinoo Ganesh and CTO John McRaven, both formerly at Palantir, Kepler separates language interpretation from data retrieval and arithmetic. Its agent ontology maps financial terminology to defined metrics and formulas, routes tasks to specialized agents, and uses deterministic code for calculations with source provenance. The company, legally Keru AI Inc., rebranded as Kepler. In July 2026, Internet Forest Corporation sued over the name; Keru disputed infringement, and the scope of trademark rights it claimed through acquiring GetKepler.ai was contested.

In 2026, Kepler reported indexing 26 million-plus SEC filings, with earnings transcripts covering more than 14,000 companies and data spanning 27 global markets. This corpus supports research across filings, transcripts, and market data. By June 2026, Ganesh confirmed the company had raised more than $7 million, although it had not formally announced a funding round.

Messages from the stage

Separate reasoning from verifiable execution

Ganesh describes assigning data retrieval, computation, verification, and source provenance to deterministic systems so analysts can audit financial work against underlying records.

Deliver quickly with production durability in mind

The forward deployed engineering session describes replacing oversized dashboard projects with practical interventions, while accounting for data infrastructure constraints and lasting operational needs.

Affiliations reflect each recorded session, not necessarily current employment. The forward deployed engineering session is connected to Kepler, but its record does not identify an affiliated speaker.
