AI agent infrastructure and coding tools
Langbase builds serverless infrastructure for developers creating AI agents and applications. Its agent APIs connect language models with tools, while Memory combines vector storage, file storage and retrieval so applications can answer questions about documents and repositories. Workflows coordinates multiple steps and agents with retries, scheduling and traces. Teams can build internal tools and production agents without managing containers.
Founded in 2023 by Ahmad Awais, its founder and CEO, Langbase has shifted its business focus toward Command Code, a coding agent available through a CLI and desktop application. Its taste-1 architecture turns accepted suggestions, rejections and edits into symbolic preferences that condition subsequent language-model output. Developers can inspect and edit these learned preferences and share them across projects and teams. This extends the company's work on agent infrastructure into software that adapts to individual coding patterns.
Langbase's infrastructure remains available alongside Command Code. As of the August 2026 snapshot, the company reported having helped more than 100,000 developers from over 5,000 companies. Its unified API lets developers switch models and providers, while AI Studio supports agent versioning, collaboration and monitoring—covering both application development and ongoing operation.
