AI application development

Lovable

Lovable builds an AI development platform that turns natural-language instructions into web applications with editable code. Founders, designers, marketers, and engineering teams use it to create prototypes, customer-facing products, and internal tools. Lovable Cloud provides a built-in backend for data storage, authentication, and service connections; Lovable AI adds prompt-driven AI features. Teams can publish applications through Lovable or sync their code to GitHub or GitLab for their own deployment workflows.

Anton Osika, CEO, and Fabian Hedin, CTO, co-founded the company in 2023, following Osika’s work on GPT Engineer, an open-source tool for generating code from prompts. The Lovable product launched in 2024. Its engineering approach includes routing requests across model providers while keeping a project’s consecutive requests with the same provider where possible, preserving prompt caching. Routing weights adjust to provider availability to accommodate failures and capacity limits.

Lovable offers a free starting tier and paid plans priced by credits, with metered Cloud and AI consumption. In August 2026, the company reported more than 60 million projects created since launch and over 900 million monthly visits to Lovable-built apps. It reached a $500 million annualized revenue run rate in June 2026 and raised $400 million in Series C funding at a $13.3 billion valuation that August.
