Data and AI technology consulting
Quantyca is an Italian technology consultancy that designs, implements and maintains enterprise data platforms and AI solutions. Its services span data integration, infrastructure, strategy and governance, helping organizations make information available for analysis and automation. Applications include a unified credit information repository for Nexi, real-time stock calculation for Rinascente, and clinical data analysis for life sciences.
Founded in 2009, Quantyca’s co-founders include Matteo Pelizza and Francesco Gianferrari Pini; Andrea Gioia is its partner and CTO. Its technical contributions include the Data Product Descriptor Specification, a technology-independent specification that describes data products in JSON or YAML. Quantyca uses it with its Open Data Mesh Platform to standardize and automate data-product operations from creation through retirement. This work complements its information architecture approach, which brings structured and unstructured data together with data modeling, governance, compliance and quality.
Quantyca became part of JAKALA in 2025 through the group’s acquisition of a 65% majority stake. At the February 2025 announcement, JAKALA reported that Quantyca had 122 professionals and generated €11 million in 2024 revenue. Its consulting relationships extend from solution design and implementation to support after launch, with an emphasis on transferring knowledge so clients can take ownership of the resulting systems.
