Paul Bakaus founded Renaissance Geek in 2026, turning Impeccable from an open-source tool into a company. He previously created jQuery UI and led product and developer relations for Chrome DevTools at Google. Impeccable combines agent-guided design iteration with deterministic checks for recurring frontend problems, including weak hierarchy, low contrast, and cramped spacing. Its Rust engine shares a rule implementation across the CLI and WebAssembly browser surfaces; the checks run without an AI model or API key.

Renaissance Geek has seed backing from Andreessen Horowitz and a GitHub partnership that bundles Impeccable with the GitHub Copilot app, where users enable it through experimental settings. The company reported 160,000 installs through skills.sh at its June 2026 launch. By September 2026, its public repository displayed approximately 68,400 stars. Distribution also includes standalone installation for multiple coding agents, automated frontend checks, and a Chrome DevTools extension.
