Tessl

Tessl builds an Agent Enablement Platform for development teams to create, test, distribute and improve AI agent skills. Its shared registry provides version management, while security scans, installation policies and audit logs help teams govern their use. It integrates with tools including Claude Code, Cursor and Copilot, letting developers publish skills publicly or within their organization and track whether those skills actually activate on developer machines.

Founded in London in 2024, Tessl is led by founder and CEO Guy Podjarny, who previously founded Snyk and Blaze. In 2025, it paused Tessl Framework development and removed Framework functionality from its rebuilt CLI to concentrate on its registry and agent integrations. Its technical approach treats reusable agent context as software that can be tested: Task Evals generates scenarios and scoring criteria, then compares an agent performing the same tasks with and without a skill to measure its effect on behavior.

In 2026, the company advertised more than 3,000 searchable skills in its registry. Tessl announced $125 million in cumulative funding in 2024, comprising a $25 million seed round led by boldstart ventures and GV and a $100 million Series A led by Index Ventures, with Accel, GV and boldstart participating.
