Early-stage venture capital

Untapped Capital

Untapped Capital is a US early-stage venture capital firm that combines startup investment with AI-assisted research and public technology experimentation. Its founder-facing GPT VC Associate helps entrepreneurs preparing to raise capital practice their pitches, expand their answers and generate downloadable investment memos. The firm uses AI and automation in its investment work, alongside experiments spanning no-code tools, web3 and AI.

Established in 2020, the firm is led by Yohei Nakajima and Jessica Jackley, with Nakajima serving as general partner. His public engineering work includes BabyAGI, an autonomous-agent project introduced in 2023. Its architecture connects task execution, follow-up task creation and reprioritization in a repeating loop, retrieving relevant stored task results as context. The project grew from his experiment in building an autonomous founder into a more general approach to executing tasks toward a user-defined objective.

Untapped Capital also operates Agent Fund, an AngelList rolling fund launched in 2025 to invest in autonomous-agent startups. Its announced investment range was $50,000–$200,000 per startup. Led by Nakajima, Adam Silverman and Alex Reibman, the fund was announced with plans to use AI for sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management and community building while retaining people for key investment decisions.
