Vellum

Vellum builds personal AI assistants that remember context and take action across users’ apps. Its Personal Intelligence offering, introduced in 2026, lets people personalize an assistant for work and everyday tasks. Users can manage calendars, summarize Slack messages, work with files and control a browser with permission. Vellum Assistant runs on the company’s managed platform or can be self-hosted, with access through desktop, mobile, web and messaging channels.

Founded in 2023 by CEO Akash Sharma, Sidd Seethepalli and Noa Flaherty, Vellum grew from the founders’ experience building LLM applications together at Dover. Its enterprise tooling combines a visual workflow builder and SDK with evaluation, versioned deployment and monitoring, allowing engineers and domain experts to develop AI systems together. Its personal assistant uses persistent memory: working-memory files accompany conversations, while a knowledge graph retrieves relevant context through lexical and vector search. The assistant’s code is available under the MIT license.

In its 2025 Series A announcement, Vellum reported having worked with over 150 companies, including Swisscom, Redfin, Drata and Headspace. The $20 million Series A was led by Leaders Fund. By May 2026, Vellum said it had raised $25 million in total.
