James Zou

James Zou is an associate professor of biomedical data science at Stanford, with courtesy appointments in computer science and electrical engineering. His research aims to make AI more reliable and statistically rigorous, including applications in human health.

His scientific-agent work with Together AI explores environments in which agents collaborate, test ideas and learn from feedback. Einstein Arena applies this approach to scientific problem solving and kernel optimization; DSGym supplies executable data-science tasks and verified trajectories for evaluation and training.
