Rayan Krishnan

Rayan Krishnan is the co-founder and CEO of Vals AI, an independent evaluator of language models. His team works with specialists to turn the work of lawyers, bankers and other professionals into benchmark tasks. Its Finance Agent benchmark tests financial analysis, and its open-source Valkyrie system lets researchers run agent evaluations across machines.

Krishnan studies the difference between answering a question cheaply and finishing a piece of work economically. Tax work and leveraged-buyout spreadsheets demand different skills, and a low-priced model can burn enough extra tokens to cost a firm more per acceptable result.
