Shiv Indap

Shiv Indap represented Upstart as a senior engineering manager at AI Engineer NYC. His work on voice AI concerns a particular kind of failure: a conversation can sound natural and still take a turn a lender is not supposed to take.

With Coval founder Brooke Hopkins, Indap examined how a lending team can test those conversations before sending them to customers. The important evidence is a sequence of turns, including how the agent handles information a caller volunteers and which question it asks next.
