Steven Latré

Steven Latré is a fellow and vice president of AI at imec. After doctoral research in network management at Ghent University, he helped build IDLab Antwerp into a research group of more than 100 people. His team was the European finalist in a DARPA competition on using machine learning to share radio spectrum. At imec his work spans datacenters, edge systems, health and automotive computing.

Latré’s AIStack initiative benchmarks real AI workloads on hardware. His work on long-running coding agents measures how models, harnesses and the number of jobs a GPU can run at once change the economics of operating an inference system.
