Zachary Blumenfeld

Conference affiliation: AI Research Engineer · Neo4j · 2026

Zachary Blumenfeld is an AI research engineer at Neo4j who works with graphs as a representation of agent behavior. His open-source Graph-ND project experiments with retrieving knowledge from graphs. Alongside the information an agent retrieves, he models the relationships between a skill, the decisions available at a step, and the evidence that permits the next one.

In his lending example, a graph gives a loan-approval agent a path through the application process. A team can inspect which branch it followed and revise the decision logic independently of the model that interprets the request.
