Aviator

Aviator builds tools for engineering teams to review, verify, merge and deploy code, including AI-generated changes. MergeQueue coordinates pull requests with parallel queues and batching, while Releases manages deployments, cherry-picks and rollbacks across environments. Inbox organizes review work, Team Reviews routes requests by expertise and workload, and the open-source Stacked PRs CLI breaks large changes into smaller reviews. Aviator Verify checks implementations against human-approved acceptance criteria using code analysis, execution scenarios and reusable team rules, attaching evidence to results.

Founded in 2021, Aviator was co-founded by Ankit Jain, its current CEO, and Spriha Tucker. Its engineering approach adapts practices from Google’s internal tooling to standard development toolchains, emphasizing small changes, trunk-based development and continuous delivery. MergeQueue validates a change against both the latest branch head and preceding queued changes, grouping related changes when affected build targets are available. The stacked-PR tooling handles updates to dependent Git branches, supporting continued development while earlier changes await review.

As of August 2026, Aviator reported serving 1,000+ teams, from small startups to Fortune 500 monorepos. Its offering combines free tools for individual developers with a broader platform for engineering teams. Aviator participated in Y Combinator’s Summer 2021 batch and announced a $2.3 million seed round in 2022.
