Daytona
Daytona provides programmable sandboxes for developers building AI agents to execute code and operate computing environments. Agents can install packages, run servers, compile code and manage processes in isolated runtimes. The platform offers Linux containers, Linux and Windows virtual machines, and NVIDIA GPU sandboxes for inference, fine-tuning and CUDA workloads. Its VM sandboxes support pause and fork: preserving memory and processes between tasks or creating independent copies so agents can explore alternative execution paths.
Founded in 2023, Daytona grew from a self-hosted development environment manager into infrastructure for AI-generated code and agent workflows. Its co-founders are CEO Ivan Burazin, CTO Vedran Jukić and Chief Architect Goran Draganić. In June 2026, Daytona moved its production codebase to closed source; the existing public repository remains available but is no longer maintained or updated.
Customers include LangChain, Turing, Writer and SambaNova. Its August 2026 financing filing recorded $48.274 million in equity sold to six investors within a $60 million offering, with $11.726 million remaining.
