Enterprise AI and workplace search
Glean
Glean builds enterprise AI software that helps employees find company information, generate answers and automate work across business applications. Glean Assistant answers questions grounded in company data, while Glean Agents lets teams create, use and manage agents through natural language. More than 100 connectors bring workplace data into the platform. Employees can trace answers to source documents, with retrieval respecting their access permissions.
Glean began with workplace search and expanded into an enterprise AI platform. Its founders are current CEO Arvind Jain, T.R. Vishwanath, Piyush Prahladka and Tony Gentilcore. Its engineering approach combines centralized indexing with a knowledge graph connecting content, people and activity across applications. Hybrid retrieval and reranking combine semantic similarity, keyword matches, document freshness and personalization to select information for language models to use when answering questions.
In May 2026, Glean reported $300 million in annual recurring revenue, up from $100 million 15 months earlier, and said more than 85% of customers used it across at least five departments. Its model choices, MCP interfaces and customization APIs let enterprises use company context beyond Glean’s own assistant. Glean also acquired Aryn in 2026, bringing together the companies’ work on enterprise knowledge and document intelligence.
