Personalized AI audio
Huxe built a consumer AI app that turned email, calendars, news and personal interests into personalized audio briefings. Now discontinued, it helped listeners keep up with information while walking, exercising or doing other activities away from a screen. Morning briefings synthesized connected email and calendar information, while live stations tracked selected topics. Users could also request audio explanations of questions or subjects they wanted to explore.
Founded in late 2024 by Raiza Martin, Jason Spielman and Stephen Hughes, former members of Google’s NotebookLM team, Huxe was led by Martin as CEO. Its product approach combined automatically gathered personal context with interactive listening: users could interrupt generated audio to request a different explanation, ask for technical detail or change topics. Synchronized visual context appeared as relevant information was mentioned, connecting spoken updates to an interface that followed the conversation.
By its 2026 wind-down, Huxe had raised approximately $4.6 million in reported funding. Its September 2025 terms described the app as free to download and use. Huxe announced its shutdown on May 21, 2026, ending product development and setting May 28, 2026 as the service termination date.

Drawing on NotebookLM's origins as Project Tailwind, Martin advocates restraint, clear user outcomes, and delight over demos that merely expose model capabilities.
