Financial technology and AI
Intuit
Intuit builds financial software for consumers, businesses and accountants. Its product family includes TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, Mailchimp and Intuit Enterprise Suite, spanning tax, accounting and broader financial workflows. QuickBooks combines online accounting with services including payroll, while Credit Karma connects its business to personal loans, auto insurance and credit cards. Intuit develops AI capabilities across these products through GenOS, its proprietary generative AI infrastructure with privacy, security and data governance built into the development foundation.
Founded by Scott Cook and Tom Proulx, Intuit began operations in 1983 and went public in 1993. Sasan Goodarzi is its chairman and chief executive officer. Its engineering contributions include Numaflow, created by Intuit’s Argo team for continuous event processing. The Kubernetes-native platform separates event sources and sinks from processing logic so components can scale independently; developers can write individual pipeline steps in different languages for applications such as streaming analytics and real-time inference.
In 2026, Intuit reported approximately 100 million customers worldwide and $21.4 billion in fiscal 2026 revenue. Its commercial reach spans both consumer finances and business operations, while human expertise remains part of its AI product approach.
