JoinIn AI builds Pulse, an AI assistant that participates in live meetings, transcribes conversations, tracks objectives and action items, and answers questions using meeting context. Available in desktop-browser beta, Pulse joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls or captures in-person conversations through a microphone. Pulse flags conflicting statements during discussions, and users can query transcripts, decisions and commitments afterward.

Co-founders Ted Johnson and Brendan Foote lead technical direction and system architecture, and product vision and execution, respectively. Their approach treats conversation as an interaction problem involving timing, roles and shared context. Pulse’s proprietary Baton turn-taking engine determines when the assistant should speak, interrupt, wait or think further. A standalone Baton service is planned.

Pulse targets workflows where participants need information during the conversation: sales teams can connect agents to CRM records and deal memos, while engineers can connect repositories, tickets and documentation for live questions with citations. Recruiters can capture interviews using direct microphone input, and meeting organizers can accept, edit or dismiss proposed action items with owners and deadlines. These integrations connect live discussion to the records and follow-up work surrounding it.
