Navan

Navan combines business travel booking, payments and expense management in one platform. Ariel Cohen and Ilan Twig founded the company as TripActions in 2015; it adopted the Navan name in 2023 and completed its initial public offering in October 2025.

Its Navan Cognition framework combines machine learning with large language models to run specialized agents, including the Ava travel assistant. The system routes requests through workflows and checks agent outputs for compliance, factual accuracy and logic.

Navan Edge extends this approach to personalized travel planning. In August 2026, Navan announced an OpenTable integration that brings restaurant discovery and reservation booking into the assistant’s conversation, alongside its flight and hotel planning capabilities.
