AI for financial services

Rowspace

Rowspace builds an AI platform that helps financial firms use proprietary data in investment and operational workflows. It connects documents, models, investment and accounting systems, and other sources, then applies an approach tailored to how each firm reconciles information and makes decisions. Teams can use it through Rowspace’s interface, in Excel and Teams, or through their existing data infrastructure. Rowspace launched in 2026.

A firm may have the same figure in several systems, with different definitions or calculations. Rowspace uses agents to reconcile information and applies firm-specific reasoning to workflows such as portfolio monitoring, deal analysis and credit portfolio optimization. The platform deploys in customer environments, keeping data under the customer’s control.

At Apollo’s Redding Ridge, Rowspace helps prepare a recurring report that reconciles financing activity against bank statements. Staff check the output daily. The Rowspace team also worked with portfolio management and finance staff to identify authoritative data sources and understand their calculations. Redding Ridge COO Jack McDonald described the workflow, which previously took several people hours each week to prepare.

The San Francisco company was co-founded by CEO Michael Manapat, a former Notion CTO who built machine learning systems at Stripe, and COO Yibo Ling, a former CFO and investment executive.
