Runway develops generative models and tools for working with moving images. Its research has progressed from small experimental films to video models that can respond to changes in a scene.

Runway’s work on world models examines how predicting future frames can teach a system regularities about objects and motion. Its Continuum prototype explores how an image on a screen might become an interactive visual environment.
