AI support engineering and escalation management

Waypoint AI

Waypoint AI builds Chip, an AI support engineer for B2B software teams that investigates technical cases, proposes fixes, and routes escalations. It connects support systems such as Zendesk and Salesforce with engineering tools, documentation, and Slack. Support agents receive relevant case history and suggested next steps; engineers receive escalations with investigation context and proposed resolutions. Chip also turns recurring problems into product feedback and resolved fixes into documentation.

Founded in 2024 by Steve Boogar, Tomas Polivka, and Liam Boogar-Azoulay, Waypoint AI is led by CEO Steve Boogar. Its approach combines historical case outcomes with an event-driven automation platform. Chip indexes resolved cases, engineering tickets, and conversations together, then reruns relevant analysis when messages, ticket updates, or deployments change the situation. Teams can define labels in plain language and use them to drive routing, escalation, and trend detection.

Waypoint sells annual contracts based on monthly case volume, without seat fees. It offers single-tenant infrastructure and deployment in a customer's own cloud account or on premises. In 2025, the company reported handling more than 1,000 escalations per month, naming Kpler and ClickHouse as early customers or adopters. Its deployment choices let teams use the support workflow within their own infrastructure when data residency requirements call for it.
