Enterprise AI Engineering and Implementation

Fractional AI

Fractional AI builds custom generative AI software for enterprises and private equity clients, automating internal processes and developing AI-powered products. Its projects include voice agents, content moderation and API integration builders. For Airbyte, it helped develop an AI-powered Connector Builder that reads API documentation and drafts connector configurations, allowing users to review and edit them before connecting data sources.

Founded in 2024 by Chris Taylor, Eddie Siegel and Travis May, the San Francisco company combines applied AI expertise with full-stack engineering. Its Airbyte implementation uses structured model outputs to populate authentication fields and existing connectors as benchmarks for accuracy. The work also encompasses deployment, permissioning, testing, scalability and user experience.

Fractional AI was acquired in May 2026 by the standalone enterprise AI services venture backed by Anthropic, Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman, which launched as Ode with Anthropic in July. Its team became Ode’s operational foundation, with Taylor continuing as CEO and Siegel as CTO. Ode helps businesses incorporate Claude into their operations. Before the acquisition, Fractional AI reported a $12 million-plus annual revenue run rate and more than 30 clients served in November 2025.
