Phaidra

Phaidra builds AI agents for data center operations, helping operators and technicians manage infrastructure supporting AI workloads. Phaidra Prism is an LLM-based assistant for identifying, prioritizing and troubleshooting operational issues. Phaidra Factory provides specialized agents to proactively monitor and optimize mission-critical infrastructure. Together, these products address cooling, thermal stability and the power available for computation.

Founded in 2019 by CEO Jim Gao, Vedavyas Panneershelvam and Katherine Hoffman, Phaidra combines experience in Google and DeepMind infrastructure, AlphaGo engineering and industrial controls. Its technical approach pairs reinforcement learning with domain expertise. Its liquid-cooling agent uses rack-power measurements to anticipate heat and adjust coolant distribution units before temperatures rise, rather than waiting for temperature feedback. This feed-forward approach addresses the lag between rapidly changing GPU workloads and cooling-system responses.

In 2026, the company reported 75–80% lower thermal overshoot versus optimally tuned PID controls during sudden load ramps in production testing, with response delays below 10 seconds. Phaidra and CoreWeave were expanding deployment across CoreWeave’s liquid-cooled fleet. Phaidra also closed a Series B exceeding $50 million in 2025, led by Collaborative Fund with participation from NVIDIA, Index Ventures, Helena and Sony Innovation Fund.
