Decide before you apply
- Your city or region. Where will the event happen, and why there?
- Your team. Who is the lead organizer, and who owns program, sponsorship, production, and marketing?
- Your target dates. Pick a window outside May and June, and check it against major regional events.
- Your audience. Who will attend, how many, and at what level of experience?
- Your budget. How will you fund the event before revenue arrives?
What strong applications include
- Evidence of past events. Attendance numbers, audience breakdowns, sponsor lists, photos, or recordings.
- Proof of local community. Meetups, user groups, or programs you already run in the region.
- AI engineering depth. Talks, speakers, or content you've already produced on the topic.
- A program point of view. What your event will offer that no other event in your region does.
- A sponsorship plan. The companies you expect to approach and why they would invest.
